Hong Kong home sales increase 43.6 per cent in March
According to the Land Registry latest datas, Hong Kong home sales increased by 43.6 pct to 5,856 in March compared to February.The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements in March was $61.6 billion with 42 pct increase.
The number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in March was 7,605 (+35.4 per cent compared with February and +141.1 per cent compared with March 2016)
The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements in respect of residential units was $50.4 billion (+38.2 per cent compared with February and +194.5 per cent compared with March 2016)
Statistics on sales of residential units do not include sale and purchase agreements relating to sales of units under the Home Ownership Scheme, the Private Sector Participation Scheme and the Tenants Purchase Scheme unless the premium of the unit concerned has been paid after the sale restriction period.
The number of searches of land registers made by the public in March was 484,298 (+27.7 per cent compared with February and +31.7 per cent compared with March 2016).
