258-room student house in Sunderland
The 258-room student house will be built at Sunderland University City Campus, which is planned to be built in the North East of England.
Developers plan to build a student house at the University of Sunderland City Campus. The student house will consist of 258 rooms and two blocks.
According to the plan; Sunderland’s Joplings store will be converted into student homes. The developer of the project was Jaspia. The developer wants to break down the Forster Building at Chester Road and build a building for two five-storey buildings.
The Forster Building was built in 1975. The proposals for the project will include a 2.700 m2 ft ground floor retail unit. The other development plan will include 148 student rooms with 110 bedrooms and a larger block.
The Sunderland City Council will consider the application in the coming days.
