Last year, a rapidly developing country Romania, 940 million euros in property investment was made last year. These investments include real estate investments in office, commercial, industrial and commercial segments. Romanian investors were involved in 25 percent of transactions.

According to the CBRE Group’s market report, investments in Romania this year showed a similar rise to late-year. The value of this year’s investments is 30 percent higher than in 2016 investments. In 2018, the highest number of transactions occurred in office sales. Office sales accounted for 55 percent of all property transactions.

After the office transactions, 33 percent of the commercial transaction formed commercial areas. Industrial facilities accounted for 7 percent and other transactions accounted for 5 percent.

The Bükreş real estate market experienced its golden age in 2018. 77 percent of total investments were recorded at the national city level. Most Romanian investors invested in Romania. South African funds accounted for 18 percent of Romanian investments. 13 percent of the investments were made by Portuguese investors.

In 2018, the most traded areas were realized in the office and retail segment. The biggest transaction in the year was the sale of The Bridge (I and II) office project after an agreement of € 150 million.

One of the most valuable transactions in 2018 is the Oregon Park office complex, which was developed by the Portland Trust.
