Prevel developers will launch a massive residential and commercial project development in Canada’s Montreal region.

In Canada, the area under the Jacques Cartier Bridge will begin construction of a colossal mixed-use development closely to in the area. The project will include apartments, office spaces, parks and retail outlets.

The mixed-use project is near the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, on the René-Lévesque Boulevard, Ste Catherine Street, Parthenais Street and De Lorimier Boulevard. This area is one of the least used land on the island of Montreal.

Prevel said that he would explain the plan of the project by the end of this year. For the time being, the company will only include housing, rental apartments, social housing, offices, shops and a large number of green spaces and parks. The project will be close to the CBC / Radio-Canada headquarters, Maison de Radio-Canada and the Molson Brewery factory.

It’s easier to recognize and resurrect the neighborhood, said Laurence Vincent, co-president of Prével. The projects at Molson and Radio-Canada fields would be advantageous for the development of the entire neighborhood and project.

“In 10 years, I think the neighbourhood will have found its balance,” Vincent says. “It’s not a perfect neighbourhood, but it’s a lively neighbourhood and in 10 or 15 years, we’ll find it’s a neighbourhood that works very well like many others in Montreal.”
