In Montreal, affordable housing for middle-class families will be built. According to the information given, there will be a total of 199 units from the housing project.

Mortgage and Housing Corporation announced that it has launched a new housing project for low-income families in Montreal.

The Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos says “Through the National Housing Strategy, more middle class Canadians – and those working hard to join it – will find safe, accessible and affordable homes in communities where their families can thrive and children learn and grow.

He added: This investment is wonderful news for the Montreal middle-income families that will move into these new affordable rental housing units. Our Government is committed to increasing the supply of rental units for Canadians through projects like the one we are announcing today.”

The government will pay $ 41.75 million for the project to provide housing for 199 families. The project, which is a 10-storey building, will be called Apero Phase 3. Mass housing will be close to public transport and schools.

The Canadian government will provide low interest rates for houses.
