The Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) completed Al Zahiyah Development project, at a cost of AED28.8 million, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi General Services Company, Musanada and the Department of Transport.

The project included the restoration of services facilities, improvement to traffic, and the redevelopment of pedestrian walkways and infrastructure, such as telecommunications, water and electricity, as well as new street lighting, traffic signs and a rainwater drainage network from Al Firdous Street to Street 10.


The project is located in an area of approximately 277,500 square metres, divided into 69,000 square metre of main roads, 43,300 square metre minor roads and 164,000 square metre of streets, covering parts of the East 12 and East 14 ponds.

In additions, the project is being monitored by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
