Developer Billbergia has lodged plans to build North Sydney’s tallest commercial tower. The hotel will sit across nine lower levels served by a reception, restaurant and gym amd finis hed with top floor bar.
After four owners in four years the 607 square metre property, together with its adjoining site, the heritage pub at 86 Walker Street, will be home to the new Fire House Hotel.
The estimated cost for the 24,042 square metre development is $153 million.
There will be a redevelopment of the heritage pub and a newly built mixed office, retail and 252 room hotel property. The hotel will sit across nine lower levels served by a reception, restaurant and gym, and finished with top floor bar. Above it will be 21 floors of office space.
Once billed as the tallest tower in North Sydney, 1 Denison Street will also be the new headquarters of the Nine Network.
