The Southeastern Anatolia Region has carried out carpet export by 1 billion 390 million 670 thousand dollars in the 11-month period. The highest share in total exports was 1 billion 350 million 49 thousand dollars for machine-made rugs.

According to the information released by Southeastern Anatolia Exporters Union (GAİB), the figure of carpet exports were 1 billion 348 million 356 thousand dollars in 2012 between January-November period. This figure has increased by 3,1% compared to this year same period and reached 1 billion 390 million 670 thousand dollars.
The highest share in total exports was 1 billion 350 million 49 thousand dollars for machine-made rugs. Tufted was exported in the region by 38 million 712 thousand dollars, also hand-made rug and by 1 million 606 thousand dollars.
The exported countries are Saudi Arabia, Libya, U.S., Iraq, United Arab Emirates and Germany.
