Catalonia Hotels & Resorts took over
Catalonia Hotels & Resorts continues to open new facilities in Europe, depending on the expansion policy.
Catalonia Hotels & Resorts takes over Hotel Vondel in Amsterdam. Hotel Vondel has 83 rooms with 4 rooms and a unique boutique hotel.
The hotel is located in the historic center of Amsterdam. It was built in the 18th-century Dutch style. The asset consists of seven buildings listed next to the Vondelpark and Leidseplein Square, one of the city’s leading entertainment and shopping districts, very close to the three major museums of the Dutch capital.
The brand has hotels in Brussels and Catalonia in Berlin. In Spain, the hotel group expanded into the Seville-based Catalonia Santa Justa and the Catalonia Mirador des Harbor in Minorca. However, San Sebastian plans to build facilities in Bilbao and Malaga. Also, at the end of the year, Riviera Maya will open a luxury hotel on the stunning beach of Costa Mujeres.
“These new openings demonstrate our determination to continue to grow with a clear strategy focus on quality over quantity,” said Catalonia executive vice-president Guillermo Vallet Millet.
Catalonia Hotels & Resorts development director, Federico Holzmann said, “This operation is a further step in our expansion in Europe, where we continue to look for opportunities. Catalonia remains actively engaged in seeking business opportunities at home and abroad, focusing on establishments located in the downtown areas of strategic cities. Catalonia is characterised by its solid business base, excellent outcomes and ability to grow both in buyouts and management or rental projects”.
