China has 58 percent of world real estate billionaires
A research has revealed that China has the most real estate billionaires in the world, leaving behind the United States.
According to the Hurun Global Real Estate Rich List, published on Thursday, 139 out of 263 real estate billionaires living in the world live in China. China holds 58 percent of the world’s percentage.
Hong Kong has 27 of the world’s real estate billionaires.
“The urbanization megatrend in China has driven the biggest wealth explosion in the history of world, with the result that most of the world’s largest real estate developers today come from China,” Rupert Hoogewerf, chairman and chief researcher of Hurun Research Institute, publisher of the list, said in a statement.
Chinese billionaires were at the top of the world real estate summit.
Chinese developers has the first four points of the list. Xu Jiayin of Evergrande Group, based in Shenzhen, ranked first with a net worth of US $ 37 billion. Li Ka-shing of Cheung Kong Holdings from Hong Kong group came second with 29 billion dollars.
Lee Shau Kee of Henderson Development is the third in the list. Yang Huiyan from Country Garden was the fourth with 23 billion USD. Huiyan became the only female billionaire on the list.
The richest real estate in the US was Donald Bren, president and president of the California-based developer Irvine Company. US President Donald Trump followed him.
The Israeli American businessman Adam Neumann was the only real estate billionaire under the age of 40.
