Edamah, Bahrain’s state-sponsored real estate developer, will hand over the second stage of Sa’ada before the end of 2019. It aims to obtain approval for the construction works tender of the mixed use project.

Stage 2 design work will begin in the first quarter of 2019. So, the company, funded by the independent welfare fund Mumtalakat, plans to make the second stage tender in the 4th quarter. Construction work will take approximately 12 months after the main work package is given.


As phase 1 of the project, the delivery of stage 2 will be a two-stage process. Phase 2 will link the old Bazaar of Muharraq to the first section of Sa’ada, which must be completed in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Phase 2 includes a multi-storey car park, retail and food and beverage outlets, open plazas and a renovated bus terminal and post office.

Located in Muharraq, northeastern Bahrain, Edamah hopes that Saada will become a marina of a marina that will connect the heritage market to the region, both of which will be connected by a bridge.

Sa’ada’s construction 1st phase started in 2018, 20 percent development took place.

Mohammed Jalal Contracting Company is the main contractor of the 1st Stage of Saada, Gulf Engineering House is the main consultant and Aecom is the infrastructure consultant.
