In September 2015,exports were 11 billion 659 million dollars with a 14.2% decrease and imports were 15 billion 401 million dollars with a 25.2% decrease compared with September 2014.

Exports in Turkey decreases 14,2 pct in September

In September 2015,exports were 11 billion 659 million dollars with a 14.2% decrease and imports were 15 billion 401 million dollars with a 25.2% decrease compared with September 2014, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Customs and Trade joint prepared report.


In the same month, foreign trade deficit decreased by 46.6% from 7 billion 13 million dollars to 3 billion 742 million dollars.As compared with the same month of the previous year, exports to the Europe countires decreased by 7.7% from 5 billion 970 million dollars to 5 billion 508 million dollars. The proportion of the EU countries was 47.2% in September 2015, while it was 43.9% in September 2014. 

In September 2015, the main partner country for exports was Germany with 1 billion 138 million dollars. Germany was followed by the United Kingdom(959 million dollars), Iraq (607 million dollars) and Italy(583 million dollars). 

In September 2015, the top country for Turkey’s imports was China (1 billion 968 million dollars), records for imports range from Germany (1 billion 607 million dollars), Russia (1 billion 423 million dollars) and the USA (1 billion 25 million dollars).
