– Third Boshporus Bridege To Increase Trade

The Third Boshporus Bridge , one of Turkey’s most prestigious projects, will be named after Yavuz Sultan Selim  and will shape the future ofTurkey’s supra-identity in logistics and trade, together with the third airport and Kanal Istanbul projects.

The third Boshporus Bridge will be built using advanced engineering and techonolgy by a team mostly consisting og Turkish engineers.It will be the world’s first bridge, with eight lane highways and two lane railways all on the same level.At 59 meters in width and a span of 1,408 meters, will be regarded as the world’s longest and widest suspension bridge.

-The third airport, a project under construction on the Anatolian side of Istanbul is expected to begin accepting flights in 2017.

The airport will be built on an area of 76,5million square meters, and filling and drilling works are ongoing.Wiith its six runways, the third airport will be suitable for the world’s biggest airplane, Airbus A380.

The airport will be integrated with the North Marmara Highway and Yavus Sultan Selim Bridge for road transport.A high-speed train will end at the airport’s transfer station.Travel time from Taksim to the airport will be 15 minutes.

– ‘Rail Silk Road’ To Eurasia

The Marmaray project strengthened the logistical importance of Istanbul,  acity that serves as a bridge as well as an intersection, and connects Europe with Asia via an underwater railroad.

The project decreased the travel time between the two continents to 4 minutes, and a result of the excavations, it has been discovered that Istanbul has a history dating back 8,500 years.

The project attracted the attention of the world with its technological infrastructure, economic size,acceleration of railroad transportation and many innovations.Even before its opening , the Marmaray project attracted average investments of around 600 million dollars from fifteen 5-star hotels.Today, there is an increasing numbers of investments in the region.

– A Second Boshporus In Istanbul

The Kanal Istanbul project will connect the Marmara Sea to the Black Sea via a channel.There is no specific date of completion as of yet.Construction is expected to take 8-10 years in addition to the survey.2023 is the target.

The purpose of project will prevent tanker accidents.

-The Euraisa Tunnel

Works for the construction of the 2-story ‘Eurasia Tunnel’, which will cross the Boshporus trait underwater, are progressing speedily.Connecting the two sides of Istanbul, the fifth project will be completed in 2015.The tunnel will connect two ends of the Boshporus 106 meters under the sea, shortening the journey time between Kazlicesme and Goztepe to 15 minutes.
