In an area in Hull, England, a hotel and restaurant will be built recently. The proposed development is expected to create jobs in the region and support tourism.
DLP Planning, the developer of the project, applied to the Hull Municipality to build a site on Anlaby Road. The land was previously occupied by a hotel building. Later in the hotel there was no fire. Then an old music hall, public house, club and bingo hall were built. Almost all of these buildings were destroyed.
A 110-room hotel will soon be built. The hotel’s development will include a bar and banquet hall. A total of 27 parking spaces will be provided.
A design and access statement submitted as part of the application said: “The proposed development seeks to contribute a positive built edge to both Midland Street and Anlaby Road which will improve the character and quality of the area. The building heights and massing have been designed to respect the special character of the listed building.
“The application proposal provides a sustainable and suitable hotel development which will contribute a high quality built form to meet local employment needs and to support the visitor economy.”
