Marriott’s design-oriented AC Hotels brand is expanding in Latin America. The brand first came to Lima, Peru.
The AC brand will open in Lima and is expected to be called AC Hotel Lima Miraflores. The hotel will have 150 rooms, 11 suites and two meeting rooms with a total capacity of 882 square feet and capacity of 90 people. Common areas of the hotel include AC Kitchen, AC Lounge and penthouse area.
Jorge Melero, CEO of Intursa (Tourism National Investments)—a partner of Breca and Marriott International in Peru—said the investment for this project was roughly $28.9 million.
According to experts, the hotel will bring vitality to the region and create jobs.
AC Hotels by Marriott was developed in 1998 by Antonio Catalan. The hotel brand currently has a variety of assets from countries such as France, Denmark, the United States, Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Costa Rica.
