Mixed-use building allowed in Long Island City
Long Island City, one of the major commercial districts, would be allowed to use mixed-use commercial building for the district on Queens 23-20 in Jackson Boulevard.
The permits were given at 23-20 Jackson Street for Long Island City, Queens. The newly constructed building will cover an area of 65,000 square meters. The new facility will house housing units, a hotel and a dormitory.
The building, planned as 82,851 square feet, will be designed by KSQ Architects. The Vorea Group is the property owner but William Dailey Building & Zoning will be listed as the filing representative. The property is located on the corner of Jackson Avenue and Pearson Street. It will also be close to the Court Square metro station on the 7 train.
The buildings to be built will have 72 houses with an area of 902 square meters. In addition, there will be areas suitable for rental. The building will be constructed as reinforced concrete. The current lot measures 10,000 square meters and covers the entire area. The construction will start soon, ned time will not be announced.
