Hugh Hefner, the founder of the Playboy empire, is selling his Los Angeles mansion for $200 million, Playboy Enterprises announced, one of the highest asking prices for a private residence in the United States.

The Gothic Tudor-style mansion, which has an area of nearly 20,000 square feet (1,858 square meters) and boasts 29 rooms, sits amid five acres in Holmby Hills west of the city.It features game house, home theater, wine cellar, gym, tennis court, swimming pool and four-bedroom guest house.

The mansion, in which Hefner still lives, also has a zoo license, the company said in a statement announcing the sale.

Hefner, the 89-year-old business tycoon that spearheaded the rise of Playboy as one of the most popular brands in the world, has lived in the mansion since 1971, and has used it as his residence and workplace.
