Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan starts his far east tour in Japan, in an effort to seek stronger economic relations between the two countries

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Japan and was welcomed by Turkey’s Ambassador Serdar Kilic and Japanese diplomats at the Tokyo Haneda Airport at 07:40 Turkish local time.

Energy affairs will be the issue on the top of his agenda for discussion.

Erdogan is being accompanied by his wife Emine and his daughter Sumeyye. Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc, Turkey’s Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mevlut Çavusoglu, Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz, Turkish Youth and Sport Minister Akif Cagatay Kilic, Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz, Transport Minister Lutfi Elvan and Turkish businessmen are also accompanyingErdogan in Tokyo

After his visit in Japan Erdogan will also travel to Singapore and Malaysia.
