The Redcar housing project, which is planned to be built in the North East region of England, was launched. The housing project will consist of 52 houses and will be for leasing.

The Redcar housing project is planned to be built for older and vulnerable people. The development will include wheelchair-friendly bungalows and areas designed for the elderly.

An agreement was signed with Esh Group to complete the housing project in 2020. An investment of 7m euros was made for the economic housing unit. Homes England will build properties with a grant of 2m euros. It will be built on four areas adjacent to The Dunes at Low Farm Drive and Byland Close.

Frances Barlow, development manager at Beyond Housing, said: “This is a really exciting development for Beyond Housing, providing much-needed affordable homes adjacent to our successful extra care scheme, The Dunes.

“Thanks to a great partnership with our colleagues at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, getting the green light on the development of these new homes has been a really smooth process.

“Providing a full complement of age-range appropriate accommodation in the vicinity, allows for a seamless transition for members of our ageing population who may move into our adjacent site, The Dunes.”
