Rixos Hotels, a Dubai-based international hotel company, has selected Abu Dhabi-based public relations (PR) agency Iris Media to provide strategic PR support to the brand across the GCC and Middle East, Turkey and Asia.

The signing of the agreement, which took place at Rixos The Palm in Dubai, UAE, was attended by Rixos CEO, Bugra Berberoglu, Iris Media managing director Dr Jamal Al Majaida, Iris media manager Haneen Al Dawoud and vice president of sales and marketing for Rixos, Erkan Yildirim.

“Public Relations forms an essential part of the ambitious growth strategy for the brand and we feel that it is fundamental in reinforcing our position as a leading international hotel company. Iris Media, with its strong presence in the region, was the obvious choice for us and we are confident that they will successfully provide the PR support required to realise our goals,” said Yildirim.

Rixos Hotels, which operated in Turkey for the past 15 years since launching in 2000, recently moved its headquarters to Dubai where it provides corporate strategy support for 25 premium hotels in 11 countries including Turkey, the UAE, Egypt, Croatia, Switzerland, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Libya, Ukraine and most recently Georgia. Plans to open a new resort in 2016 in Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Resort were announced last year – adding further presence in the region.
