The Black Sea-Mediterranean road Project which will connect Black Sea to Central Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia and the Mediterranean Sea. The works will be completed in 2015. When the Project actualised, people who live in Anatolia, will be able to meet with sea within 2 hours.
600-kilometers Black Sea-Mediterranean road project was planned period of Ottoman Sultan Abdulhamid II in 1880.
Governor Kenan Çiftçi has stated that, the project consists of three stages. One stage in Ordu will be completed in 2015.
Mr. Çiftçi added: Ordu part of the Project continues in 3 stages. The 14-kilometers first stage will be completed by the end of 2014. When you say in Anatolia and East, 14 kilometers road have been made, that makes people think, but in this Project that means 1 hour 10 minutes.
He has also pointed out that, this Project means everything for us. The road means also civilization. I think by the end of 2015, the road has been completed, Sivas part of construction continues. When the Project actualised, people who live in Anatolia, will be able to meet with sea within 2 hours.
Indeed, that project will bring thousands of people here. Also this Project widen our horizon. I firmly believe that, when the Project completed, the population of Ordu will reach 1,5 million.
