Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) inaugurated Skopje Pediatric Clinic Emergency Department in Macedonian capital Skopje on Saturday.
Macedonian President Gyorge Ivanov also attended the inauguration ceremony with his wife Maya Ivanov. Speaking at the ceremony, Maya Ivanov said that the pediatric clinic will make a significant contribution. She stated that TIKA covered the costs, underlining that the project would not have finished in such a short time with such high quality without TIKA’s support.
Vice President of TIKA Mehmet Sureyya Er emphasized that the clinic is the first pediatric clinic emergency department in the Balkans.
Head of the Balkans and Eastern Europe departments of TIKA Ali Maskan told AA that TIKA has been carrying out projects since 2005 in friendly and sister country Macedonia, saying, “All of the buildings were made by TIKA. It maybe the first pediatric clinic not only in Macedonia but around the Balkans. We pay attention to this important project because with this clinic patient children will be able to be treated very well”.
