The president of TOKİ (housing development administration of Turkey) Ahmet Haluk Karabel has made a remark about TOKI’s 2013 activities, and talked about the goals and expectations of 2014. Mr. Karabel also said that, TOKİ invested worth 10,5 billion for construction sector in 2013.
By the instructions of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, production of social housing and social facilities are given weight in 2013. The share of social housing in the total housing production risen from 85% to 93,42% in the last year.
Mr.Karabel added: The amount of social housings which are made by TOKİ, are 515 thousand 348. That figure is 615 thousand in total. TOKİ invested worth 10,5 billion for construction sector in 2013. TOKİ has invested worth 61,5 billion TL in past 11 years. Turkey’s housing needs are 814 thousand in this year.
