We will continue to supply food and medicines to typhoon-ravaged Philippines says Ibrahim Carlos Clavijo, executive of Turkey’s Religious Affairs office in Philippines.

Turkey’s Religious Affairs opened an office in Philippines to coordinate humanitarian aid mission in the typhoon-ravaged country.

The new office is based in the typhoon-hit city Ormac and run by Turkish workers of the Religious Affairs.

The aid collected through a campaign launched by the Religious Affairs of Turkey has been conveyed to families in the Philippines by the Turkish Religious Affairs Foundation as blankets, food and medical supplies.

“We will continue to supply food and medicinces as part of our short and long term action plan,” said Clavijo.

The typhoon hit the country on November 6 and five thousand people lost their lives, 920 thousand people were left homeless and the lives of 12 million people have been affected.
