Abraj Kudai is composed of 12 towers, 10,000 rooms and 70 restaurants, plus helipads and a full-size convention center that’s set to become the world’s largest hotel by room count when it opens in 2017.

Abraj Kudai is a mixed-used development located at the Manafia area in Mecca’s central zone, only 2.2 km south of the Holy Haram in Mecca, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

With a total site area of approximately 60,000 m² and total built-up area of around 1.4 million m², the project is a residential and commercial complex that consists of a large podium topped by 12 towers accommodating several elements such as a podium housing a bus station, a shopping mall, restaurants and food courts, a convention center and car parks.

Designed by architectural firm Dar Al-Handasah, the $3.5 billion site is currently under construction and a ring of 12 towers will rise from a podium just over 2 kilometers from the Masjid al-Ḥaram, Mecca’s holy mosque, according to Dar Al-Handasah’s website.
